Hello all, I was with Mathew in Coldfoot last night and stopped to check in on him this morning. He is doing well, however a bear got to his food last night. I left him my lunch, which was packed by the Coldfoot staff. Later, heading south down the Dalton highway I met a man from Paris named Sebastian, who is a professional photographer, and is driving North towards Deadhorse. He said he will check in on Mathew and see if he needs anything.
Mathew said he was planning 100km per day so should be staying at the Arctic Circle tonight and then will be at the Yukon River Bridge crossing tomorrow night (Sunday). This location has food and a phone for him to check in. He is doing well and his bike is also holding up well. Safe travels Mathew and if you need assistance near Portland Oregon, feel free to call.
